We have been awarded the first contract of United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). The project is jointly developed by UNIDO and Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) to introduce and implement an eco-industrial parks (EIPs) management system to the industrial zones (IZs), so as to reduce and/or eliminate GHG, reduce resources consumption as well as persistent organic pollution.
Three IZs in the provinces of Ninh Binh, Da Nang and Can Tho were selected to clarify the potential for the transformation from IZ to EIP. The central IZ WWTP, obviously, is one of the most critical components to contribute to EIP implementation, as the requirement to meet the standard of high/sufficient treatment efficiency, so as to reduce water pollution. As such, under this assignment, the three existing WWTPs will be assessed in terms of operation and maintenance performance, and making recommendations for continuous improvement if deemed necessary.
The provided services includes the assessment of the current operational efficiency and maintenance of three WWTPs; measurement and monitoring the wastewater treatment performance of the plants; and recommendations (technical, operational, legal, management).
The assignment to be kicked off right after contract awarded and is expected to be completed in 9 months.
Successfully winning the project helps to enhance our portfolio in the industrial wastewater sector in Vietnam and open the doors to the next UNIDO projects in future.
